The story of Samuel Bermúdez is an incomparable example of a dedicated and modern coffee grower. As an agricultural business manager and coffee grower, he has developed harvest and post-harvest processes based on microorganisms native to the farm and has incorporated different fermentation times and procedures that allow the development of very unique profiles in his coffees. Working together with his brothers and other members of the family, they have consolidated 5 farms, El Paraíso being the main one among them. Located in the municipality of Piendamo in the state of Cauca and adjacent to the state of Nariño, Cauca is the fourth largest coffee producer in Colombia with 93,627 hectares of coffee plantations among 114,493 coffee farms, which averages less than one hectare per farm.
