The La Inmaculada Coffee Farm is owned by the Holguin Family and is located in a small town called Pichinde, just 20 minutes from the city of Cali, in the beautiful Valle del Cauca of southern Colombia. Traditionally known as a sugar cane growing region, a business that the Holguin family had carried out for many decades. In 2010, the Holguin family decided to enter the coffee growing business. They chose to utilize a previously unused land in a family farm which presented ideal conditions for growing coffee, including weather, altitude, rainfall and sunlight. They started with 5.1 hectares of coffee plants and today they have around 30 hectares of planted coffees, many of which are rare and unusual species and varieties, in addition to 20 hectares of natural forests.

The larger farm was divided into four smaller farms and these are El Jardin, Las Nubes, Monserrat and Inmaculada Concepcion, where the Holguin family planted some of the rarest and most special coffees like Rume Sudan, Eugenoides, Laurina, Gesha, Maragesha and others. These coffees have special and distinctive flavor profiles. The Eugenioides offers a profile devoid of bitterness whatsoever and is remarkably sweet and elegant, unlike any coffee you have ever tasted. Being one of the parent species of the coffea arabica, the Eugenioides allows a true coffee fan to understand the origins of coffee.

This coffee is unlike any other I've had before. Such depth and wonderful flavors - someone I served it to even said it tastes like Bailey's Irish Cream liquor! Amazing stuff - will be ordering again. Made in chemex but can't wait to harass my local barista to make me an espresso and cappuccino with it!
